Does your family like to explore, uncover information, follow leads and solve mysteries? Do you like to ask "why"? If you enjoy all this and you have plenty of imagination you are half way to being heritage detectives.
Arthur needs the sort of detectives who like to explore and find out about places and the buildings in them. Arthur is a time travelling Knight who wants to know how places have changed over the centuries and whether there is anything left today that he will recognise. His friend Gruff has told him that life in the 21st century is very different from life in the 13th century. Gruff has warned him about motor cars and planes and the noise of children in the school playground but you may discover something you need to tell him or perhaps warn him about when he visits your parish today. You may find it a little more difficult to tell him about your parish in 1204 but thats what you must try to do.
At Detective School you will find out how to do this. You will make your detective's tools and learn the special skills that will make a good detectives. Then you will be ready to go out exploring, but remember to include your Detective's Handbook in your kit bag.
Timelines, view finders and wonder cards are tools of the trade for Arthur's heritage detectives. You can make them easily at home, just download the templates and follow the
directions. You will need paper, scissors and some glue.
When you have made your tools you will need to learn how to use them!
Arthur's heritage detectives will use a lots of different skills, they include:
