Follow the River Teme west from Worcester to Tenbury Wells and on to Ludlow and the Marches, the borderlands of England and Wales. This border country is tranquil today but the ruins of ancient castles hint at a past that was very different. Click for visitor information about this area.

The River Teme is 73 miles long. To help you explore we have divided the journey into seven distinct stages each bounded by two bridges so that you can make a circular route to explore each stage. Stage 1. FROM WORCESTER TO KNIGHTWICK.
Visiting: Alfrick. Broadwas on Teme. Cotheridge, Knightwick, Leigh, Lulseley, Powick
STAGE 2. FROM KNIGHTWICK TO STANFORD BRIDGE.
Visiting: Berrow Green, Clifton on Teme, Martley, Stanford on Teme, The Shelsleys and Whitbourne.
STAGE 3. FROM STANFORD BRIDGE TO TENBURY WELLS.
Visiting: Eastham, Knighton on Teme, Lindridge, Rochford and Stockton on Teme.
STAGE 4. FROM TENBURY WELLS TO LUDLOW.
Visiting: Ashford Bowdler, Ashford Carbonel. Burford, Brimfield, Little Hereford, Richard's Castle and Wolferlow.
STAGE 5. FROM LUDLOW TO LEINTWARDINE.
Visiting: Bromfield, Burrington, Downton on the Rock, Pipe Aston and Wigmore.
STAGE 6. FROM LEINTWARDINE TO KNIGHTON.
Visiting Mrampton Bryan, Buckton, Bucknell, Milebrook, Stowe and Walford.
STAGE 7. FROM KNIGHTON TO THE SOURCE OF THE TEME.
Visiting Beguildy, Bettws-y-Cryn, Cilfaesty Hill, Felindre, Knucklas and Llanfair Waterdine.
